Submission Instructions

The Columbia Business Law Review publishes three times a year during the fall, winter, and spring. Our Spring and Fall 2021 issues are full at this time. CBLR will begin reviewing submissions for publication in our Winter 2021 and Spring 2022 during March 2021. 

CBLR accepts submissions through ExpressO and Scholastica. Authors should include with their submission:

  1. An electronic copy of the article in Microsoft Word format;
  2. A cover letter; and
  3. A CV or Resume.

Manuscript citations must conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Submissions from current students will not be considered.

Expedited Review

If you have an offer from another journal and are interested in an expedited review, please contact Luke Porcari (lfp2119@columbia.edu) with the subject “Expedited Review Request”. Please note, however, that if CBLR extends an offer of publication as the result of an expedited review, the author has only 24 hours from actual notification to accept the offer.
